Memory Keepsake

Every year I like to purchase an ornament to represent our whole family.  Last Christmas, it was pretty hectic with the move to our new house and with our new two month old baby, that getting an ornament wasn’t on my to-do list.  Well, I kept an eye out for an ornament with all the Christmas sales and found this one on Snapfish. It is priced at $16.99, but I think I only paid $6 with the sale.  Photo ornaments are such a great way to capture the family that year.  This ornament doesn’t come with the year on it, but I just took a sharpie marker and wrote it on the back.  I can’t wait to keep unpacking this ornament as the years pass by, and say, “Look how small you guys were in 2009!” 

New Blog

Hello!  Welcome to my new blog!  Well, not really new, but finally going live with it.  This is just another element of Cathy Clicks Photography in hopes that you can get to know me as a person and not just a photographer.  Through this blog, I wish for you to see how much I love what I do and see a glimpse through my eyes of the beautiful families that I am so blessed to photograph.

Cute Potatoes | Freeport Family and Children Photography

What makes my job fabulous?  Meeting and photographing great people like the ‘H’ family!  And what makes it even more amazing?  The two uninhibited cutie patooties.  They were full of smiles and energy, even though it was windy and cold.  My fingers and heart quickly warmed up to this fun-loving family!

Mom potato writes a wonderful informative blog about everything kid-friendly in Maine, Cute Potato.  I was so blessed to be featured in her article, The Natural.

What a find!

Through reading blogs of other photographers and crafty people, I came upon Paint the Moon Photography  and Paint the Moon Actions and Textures.  I just love learning how to become a better photographer through others more experienced then me.  This photographer and mommy, Annie, has enlightening my post processing work with her wisdom and actions on photoshop.  So, from now on, you will notice that my work will have a bit of a color artsy twist.  

The Cutest Bear

What a blast!  I met some pirates, a turtle, little red riding hood, a doctor, a scarecrow, an adorable lion, fairies, and many other cutie patooties at Peekaboo Children’s Center Halloween Party.  I can definitely say that there were plenty of cute kids in great costumes to photograph.  When I asked my husband how he thought it went, he said, “You had a freakishly huge smile on your face.”  Other than my own family, nothing makes me more happy than children having a good ol’ time!

As I entered into their home, it was just another day in the ‘E’ Family. I felt like I was able to capture their natural and uninhibited relationships.
