“This was our second experience with a professional outdoor photographer, and our first had left us somewhat skeptical. We won a free session with Cathy, so we figured we had nothing to lose. We were very pleasantly surprised when we met Cathy out at Gilsland Farm for our shoot. She immediately put us all at ease, and was great with our easily distracted and rarely cooperative two-year-old son. As soon as we got outside, he took off running - away from the camera of course. We were worried, but Cathy got in front of him and started singing “Elmo’s World” and stopped him in his tracks :) She was so great with our son, it’s clear she has lots of experience with kids, both professionally and personally. Our photos came out great, very clean and professional. We ended up ordering lots of prints, and Cathy stayed in contact and involved throughout the process. She was very concerned with our satisfaction, and even ordered some reprints at no charge when we didn’t quite like the cropping (though there was nothing wrong with the prints, just personal preference). “We had the pleasure of meeting Cathy on a breezy afternoon in Camden, Maine. After a 2 hour car ride by children (2 and 7 months) were not as cooperative as they usually are, but Cathy paid that no mind. She even sang my son’s favorite song to him to capture a good smile! The session went by so fast, it felt like we were just playing with our kiddos in the park, there was no rigid direction or forced posing. She had some adorable accessories for my 7 month old daughter, which only made the pictures that much more unique!
